The Mammal Conservation Working Group of BirdLife Hungary (MME) is organising a summer camp for presenting research and the most frequently employed mammal conservation methods, especially bats.
Main topics:
- bat protection methods (with examples in the field);
- methods for studying small mammals (e.g. trapping, owl-pellet analyis);
- mammal photography, camera traps;
- methods for studying bats (radiotelemetry, mistnetting, sound recording and analysis etc.);
- exploring the natural values of Aggtelek National Park;
- performing a small conservation management action (voluntary work).
Accomodation and cattering: Szögliget, Holló Guesthouse (apartments, full board)
Costs:
– free of charge for partner delegates, invited lecturers and university students;
– 5000 HUF (18 EUR) for delegates of institutions, organisations.
In order to work efficiently, the number of participants is limited.
